"The Big Update: Server, Keybinds, Costumes, Slots & Dragon Crafting"
Server Update — Validation & Anti-Cheat
Server-side validation has been strengthened across combat, movement, and trading.
Several areas where the server was not fully verifying what the client reported have been corrected. The server now independently validates these actions instead of trusting the client.
What this changes for you: nothing. Normal play is unaffected — no skill, stat, drop, or item behaviour has been altered. You should not notice any difference.
What this changes for cheats: a number of exploits no longer function.
Automated detection is now running. Irregular client activity is recorded along with account details. Accounts found abusing these issues may be subject to action, up to and including a permanent ban.
We won't be publishing specifics — that would only help the people we're trying to stop.
If you notice anything behaving oddly after this update, please report it in the bug channel. Thanks to everyone who flagged unusual activity.
Keybinds — Patch Notes
You can now rebind the keys that used to be locked. Open System Options → Set User Keys.
Newly rebindable
Ride Mount — default F7
Chat — default Enter
View Additional Data — default ALT (shows item names on the ground plus monster names and HP bars)
All three keep their original keys, so nothing changes unless you decide to move them.
New rows in the key list (unassigned by default — set them if you want them)
Mailbox
Soul Card
Soul Card Collection
Pioh Farm
Voice Chat
Show Monster Names/HP — a toggle, so you can leave the names and HP bars on instead of holding a key
Fixes
Enter and ALT could not be assigned to anything at all — the key-setting screen simply refused them. Both work now.
Adding any new key to the game used to reset your entire keyboard layout back to default. It no longer touches your existing binds. A new action that would land on a key you already use is left unassigned instead of stealing it.
Keybinds are still saved per character, and a newly created character inherits the layout from the character you played last.
Costume Stats Are Now Equal
Pick the look you like — not the one with the best stats.
Previously every costume rolled a different equip effect (Max HP, move speed, crit, MP/ST...) at three different power tiers, and costumes were split across three separate set ladders. That meant your outfit was a stat decision, and mixing a hair from one tier with an outfit from another quietly cost you set bonuses.
What changed
Every costume now has the same equip effect: HP +450. No more hunting for the "right" piece — hair, outfits, gloves, shoes, accessories, all identical.
The three costume sets (General / Rare / Legend) are now one single Costume Set. Every costume counts toward it, so you can mix any pieces you want and still fill all 9 slots.
Costumes that previously gave no bonus at all now give the same as everything else.
Costume Set bonuses (2 / 5 / 7 / 9 pieces)
2 pieces — AP +45, Magic Augmentation +30
5 pieces — MP Regeneration Per Second +30, ST Regeneration Per Second +3
7 pieces — All Crit Damage +10%
9 pieces — Strength +15, Agility +15, Intelligence +15, and absorbs 12 HP on successful attack
Character Slots Update
What's new
Accounts now start with 2 character slots unlocked.
The remaining 3 slots can be unlocked permanently with a new Cash Shop item.
Locked slots are now shown on the character select screen — hover one to see what's needed.
New item — Character Slot Ticket (Cash Shop)
Unlocks 1 additional character slot, permanently.
Applies to your whole account, not just the character that used it.
Can be used up to 3 times, for a maximum of 5 characters.
Use it on any character; the new slot shows up next time you're at character select — no relog needed.
If every slot is already unlocked, the ticket will not be consumed.
Existing players — you don't lose anything
Every account has been granted free slot unlocks matching the characters it already has. If you had 4 characters, you still have 4. If you had 5, you still have 5. Nothing was removed.
Also in this patch
Fixed the character select screen not displaying slot lock states correctly.
Black Dragon Crafting Update
Heroic Dragon armour is now crafted instead of farmed.
What Changed
All 15 Heroic Dragon armour pieces no longer drop from Teranox or his lieutenants. They are now forged by Heimdall in Asgard.
Heimdall's service has been renamed from Black Dragon Weapon Production to Black Dragon Item Production — he now makes both weapons and armour.
How To Craft
Speak to Heimdall in Asgard at Lv 60+ → Black Dragon Item Production
Every armour piece costs:
15x Titan's Stone
6x Nighord's Claw
3x + 3x the two Black Dragon parts for your set
Which parts you need depends on your set:
Dragon Slayer's Plate — Knight / Berserker → Black Dragon's Bone + Black Dragon's Steel Tail
Dragon Hunter's Leather — Thief / Archer → Black Dragon's Fang + Black Dragon's Claw
Dragon Lord's Silk — Magician / Soul Summoner → Black Dragon's Horn + Black Dragon's Eye
Each set covers 5 slots: Shoulder, Body, Gloves, Boots, Belt.
Where The Materials Come From
Nighord's Claw — guaranteed from every Teranox kill in Teranox's Nest
Black Dragon parts — chance drop from Teranox
Titan's Stone — reward from Liberius's repeatable quest in Black Dragon's Sanctuary. Begin the Black Dragon quest line from Heimdall at Lv 60 to unlock it.
What Hasn't Changed
Advanced and Rare Dragon armour still drops from Teranox and his lieutenants, exactly as before
Black Dragon weapons are untouched
Forgotten Oath Ring, Fallen One's Shackles, Gulbaik's Desire and the Heroic off-hand weapons still drop — and slightly more often now
Any Heroic Dragon armour you already own stays yours. Nothing is removed.
Please Note
Crafting costs are not final. We're watching how this loop actually feels in play, and the required materials and their amounts may still change — up or down — based on your feedback during OBT.
Anything you've already crafted will not be taken away or altered if we retune the recipes later.
