Where you can be attacked, who's always on your side, the Random PK Events that flip the low-level world, and the Karma system that marks outlaws with a red name and real penalties.

Safe Zone
All towns + every Lv 1–30 field map
No — you can't be attacked (except during a Random PK Event).
Forced PK Zone
Every Lv 31+ field map (Menas Desert, Venushia, Clocktower…)
Always. Step in and you can attack — and be attacked by — anyone.
Random PK Event
A temporary flip of the Lv 1–30 fields
Yes, while the event is live (6×/day, one hour each).
When you're flagged for PvP, a hostile player's name floats in red above their head — your instant read on who can hit you.
In a PK zone a solo player is hostile to everyone — a free-for-all. But three groups can never harm you:
Your party
Party members can never damage you, and you can't damage them.
Your guild
Guildmates can't hurt each other in open-world PK — party or not.
Your pet
Your pet fights for you — it never turns on you or your party.
Ranked Arena PvP (the 5v5 lobby) is a separate system — its team rules are unchanged.
Six times a day, at random, unannounced times, every Level 1–30 field map becomes open PvP for one hour. A big red banner is your only warning — on screen and in chat.
Party up before an event for safety in numbers — grouping is worthwhile for shared EXP and loot anyway.
Attack players as the aggressor and you build a PK count. The higher it climbs, the more of an outlaw you become — a colored name the whole world sees, even in town, and escalating penalties.
Name color only — no mechanical penalty.
No teleport/recall, repair, EXP, item pickups, kill-gold, or NPC services (repair, storage, auction, mail).
All of the above, plus: can't ride mounts, a chance to drop an item on death, and your location is broadcast channel-wide every 10 min.
All Outlaw penalties, plus your equipped gear's durability is destroyed (set to 0) when you die.
Your pet counts as you — if it lands the killing blow on someone you aggressed, the PK still goes on your record.
Hold SHIFT and left-click (normal attack) a player to force an attack — even in a safe zone. This is how you start a fight where PvP is normally off.
The only way to lower your PK count is to hunt monsters near your own level — a monster only counts if it's within 3 levels of you. Farming weaklings does nothing.
A hardened Villain (10 PK) faces roughly 200 fair-fight kills back to a clean name. Choose your victims carefully — the road back is long.
Watch the skies for the ⚔️ banner, keep your guild close, and play fair. See you in the field.
