At high level your character learns to Awaken — spend built-up combat energy to transform into an Eternal Blade form for a short, powerful burst. Charge it by fighting, pop it for a boss, and unload your hardest skills before it fades.
“Consumes Blade Point to enter a descended state that inherits the power of the gods.”
The first, lighter awakening — your Lv 30–49 form, themed on moonlight.
A stronger, larger awakening — rendered ~30% bigger with a far steeper buff. The full Eternal Blade descent.
You can’t transform from nothing — first build charge, which fills while you fight: on every kill (your Awakening passive) plus +5 every 3 s in combat. It holds up to 1,200, and you need at least 400 to transform. Charge stops building in town — and freezes while you’re already transformed.
Bank more before you pop — power level = charge ÷ 20
| Charge spent | Transform level | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | 20 | minimum — short, weaker burst (~20 s) |
| 800 | 40 | medium |
| 1,200 | 60 | full meter — longest & strongest (~60 s) |
A combat stat boost that grows with your transform level. Illusion scales far steeper than Shadow for the same charge.
You become the awakened Eternal Blade body — and the Illusion form is rendered ~30% larger, an obvious tell you popped the Lv-50 form.
The form lasts up to ~60 s (scaled by charge spent), then reverts. A consumable item can extend an active transform — up to the cap.
Transform isn’t automatic — you earn it through the “[Awakening]” story-quest chain that starts from Murad in Asgard. The skills are learned free on completion. There are two payoffs, one tier apart:
| Milestone | Lv | You earn | Turn in to |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st Awakening | 30 | Shadow ⟨Class⟩ | Liberius · Ancient Ruins |
| 2nd Awakening | 50 | Illusion ⟨Class⟩ | Heimdall · Asgard |
Start at Murad in Asgard. Recover the Cursed Sword from the Aerun Plateau wraiths, retrieve and fill the Ancient Jar (Ancient Ruins → the Marietta’s House waterfall), have Carmen divine where the god’s memory sleeps, then summon the ancient dragon Liberius in the Ancient Ruins — he grants the Eternal Blade and your Shadow form.
The trail reopens at Lv 50. Carry a mysterious paper from Machi (Venushia) to Paul and Heimdall, collect Hidden Messages in the Rubble Canyon, unseal Freyja’s Book with Carmen, and defeat 200 Specters in the Rocky Wasteland — then Heimdall confirms the light overflowing from you and grants your Illusion form.
Every class transforms the same way — same meter, same 400-point cost, same ÷20 scaling, same ~60 s cap — into the same awakened body. What differs is the form’s name and which combat buff it grants: a Physical-attack boost for the four physical classes, a Magic-attack boost for the two casters.
| Class | Role | Awakening buff | Notable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knight | Tank | Physical | — |
| Thief | Striker | Physical | — |
| Archer | Marksman | Physical | +1 extra buff (only class) |
| Berserker | Bruiser | Physical | — |
| Magician | Burst caster | Magic | — |
| Soul Summoner | Summoner | Magic | — |
Forms are named Shadow ⟨Class⟩ (Lv 30) and Illusion ⟨Class⟩ (Lv 50) — e.g. Shadow Knight → Illusion Knight.
