Ranked arena rewards patience and timing more than raw stats. You can be geared out perfectly and still lose to someone who simply plays the moment better. Here's what actually matters once you're in there.

Learn your class's burst window. Every class has a stretch where its damage output spikes, whether that's from a cooldown coming up, a buff stacking, or a combo lining up. Knowing exactly when your burst window opens, and closes, is what separates a wasted engage from a kill. Practice it until it's automatic, because in a real match you won't have time to think it through.

Bait enemy cooldowns. Don't walk into a fight assuming the enemy's tools are all available. A big part of arena play is drawing out their defensive or offensive cooldowns early, on your terms, so that when your own burst window opens they've got nothing left to answer with.

Position around line-of-sight. Open ground favors whoever has the bigger burst or the better ranged kit. Using walls, pillars, and other obstacles to break line-of-sight buys you time to reset, forces enemies to reposition, and can turn a losing fight into a winnable one. Good positioning is often the difference between surviving a burst window and getting caught in it.
