"Smoother Combat, Guild Reconnect Fix & New Mounts"
Ether Online — Patch Notes
Three updates in one: smoother combat, a guild reconnect fix, and new rideable Pioh.
Smoother Combat & Performance
Combat and movement are now more responsive, especially when there are a lot of players around you.
Faster response: actions reach the server sooner, so attacks, skills and movement feel snappier
Charged skills: the strike now starts the moment your charge ends, without waiting for the server
Skill and move inputs: a skill or click made during another action is now remembered and done right after, not dropped
Other players' movement: players who fall behind catch up smoothly instead of zooming across the screen
Busy maps: arriving in a crowded area no longer causes a burst of stutter while everyone loads in
FPS / Ping / Online: a small readout beside your character frame shows your FPS, your ping and how many players are online
Crowd Mode: new setting in System Options (Off / All / 30 / 20 / 10) to limit how many nearby players are drawn in full detail, for higher FPS in crowded towns and events
Server stability: improved handling of players with a bad connection so they can't slow things down for everyone else
If something feels slower or less responsive than before, let us know where it happened and what you were doing.
Reconnect Fix
Fixed a problem where your guild could disappear after the game reconnected you on its own.
Guild no longer vanishes after a reconnect: your guild window, guild chat, guild skills and your place in the member list now come back with you
Guildmates no longer see you as offline after you reconnect
If your guild still goes missing after a reconnect, report the time it happened and your character name.
New Rideable Pioh
More creatures can now be ridden. Equip one as your visible Pioh and press F7 to hop on.
Specter of Silence
Marsh-Moss Ranger Gnoll
If a mount or rider looks off (sitting too high, too low, or off-center), just report which Pioh and we'll fix it.
How to Update
Combat/performance changes and the new mounts are a client update: relaunch through the launcher to get the latest version.
The reconnect fix is a server update: no download needed, it takes effect after the next server restart.
