"Territorial War Rework, Stun & Stealth Fixes, Soul Card Presets"
Ether Online — Patch Notes
How to update: This patch includes both client and server changes. Relaunch through the launcher to get the latest client. Server changes take effect after the server restart.
Territorial War Rework: The Battle for Elder's Retreat
The Territorial War is now a single fight over one prize: Elder's Retreat.
Village capture is gone. Retta, Herbat Village and Pascal's Camp are no longer part of the war.
No more qualifying first. Every guild can attack the gate of Elder's Retreat from the first minute.
Hold to win. The guild holding the gate of Elder's Retreat when the war ends is the winner and becomes champion.
The champion defends. At the next war the champion starts out holding the gate, and only the guild that holds it can enter through the town gate.
Choose your spawn. Every other guild enters through one of the three Ether Gates on the war map, so you decide where your attack starts.
If another guild takes the gate during the war, the town gate becomes theirs.
Anyone who dies on the battleground, defenders included, respawns in Asgard. To rejoin, go back in through the war entrances.
Rewards stay the same. The winning guild's members who fought get gold and the victory box.
Why We Made This Change:
Splitting the war across four maps spread guilds thin and turned it into a race for villages instead of a real fight.
Having to hold a village before attacking the main gate shut smaller and newer guilds out before they could take part.
One battleground means every guild fights in the same place, at the same gate, at the same time.
Letting the champion defend gives the winner something to protect, and gives everyone else a clear target for next week.
Stun Fixes — Falling Leaf Slash and Follow-Up Stuns
Skills with a bonus stun that only triggers on an already-stunned or frozen target now work as described.
Falling Leaf Slash (and its advanced forms) — the bonus stun now lasts its full duration instead of being halved
Magician stun-on-frozen skills — same fix
A new stun can no longer cut short a longer stun that's already running on the target
Example: Flash Slash followed by Falling Leaf Slash now keeps the target stunned for the full 2.4 seconds after Falling Leaf lands
Note: a follow-up stun resets the stun timer rather than adding to it, and a third stun within a few seconds is still resisted.
Assassin Stealth Fix
Enemy players can no longer find a stealthed Assassin from the damage numbers.
Stealth now hides damage numbers from enemies — getting hit by an AoE no longer shows where you are
Heal and recovery numbers are hidden from enemies too while you are stealthed
You and your party still see your numbers as normal
Numbers show again as soon as stealth ends
Lifesteal Changes
Lifesteal now scales with how many monsters you hit.
Flat lifesteal ("absorbs X HP on successful attack") — now heals once for each different monster a skill hits, up to 5 per skill. Before, it healed only once per skill, no matter how many monsters were hit.
Hitting the same monster several times with one skill still heals once.
% lifesteal ("absorbs X% of damage as HP") — can now roll as a random option on weapons, grade C and above. Up to about 5% on high-level gear, healing for each monster hit.
Thirst for Blood multiplies all flat lifesteal, including from costumes, set bonuses and Pioh skills.
Weapons you already own keep their current options. New drops and option re-rolls can get the new % lifesteal.
Soul Card Presets
Save your Soul Card decks and switch between them in a few clicks. Open Soul Card Arrange and press the new Presets button.
Automatic history — every deck you equip is saved to the list on its own
Name and star — named or starred presets are kept, unnamed history makes room for new decks
Apply — double-click a preset or press Apply to rebuild your deck from it
Apply to — choose which deck page to rebuild (the one in use or any unlocked page)
Shared cards — presets can use the same card, and it is moved out of any other deck when you apply
Edit without equipping — drag a card from your Soul Card book onto a preset, right-click a card to remove it
Save New, Overwrite, Rename, Delete — deleting a preset never touches your cards
Search and Starred filter — search by preset name, set effect or card name
Card tooltips — hover a card in a preset to see its details
Warnings — presets show cards you no longer own, cards in a locked slot, and cards sitting in another deck
Presets are saved per character, up to 20. Cards you no longer own are skipped when you apply. Presets cannot be applied in combat or while trading.
Soul Card Growth Fix
Fixed a bug where a Soul Card could lose the levels it had just gained.
The card's new level is now saved the moment the growth succeeds.
Before this fix, a disconnect or reconnect shortly after growing a card could put it back to its old level, and the cards you fed into it were still used up.
Titles and achievements earned from growing a card were never affected.
If you lost Soul Card levels to this bug, send us the card name, the level it should be and roughly when it happened, and we'll restore it.
Hard / Master Dungeon Tickets
You no longer lose a ticket for stepping out of a dungeon your party is still running. While a party member is still inside, re-entry is free after:
Leaving the dungeon and walking back in
Dying and choosing Return to Town, then coming back
Disconnecting and logging back in, then re-entering
A new run still costs a ticket: once everyone has left, the dungeon closes and the next entry is charged. A player who joins the party mid-run pays for their first entry, then gets the same free re-entry as everyone else.
New Rideable Pioh
More creatures can now be ridden. Equip one as your visible Pioh and press F7 to hop on.
Iron Fang Wanderer
Iron Fang Guide Gnoll
Marsh-Moss Forest Guardian
Carefree Teddy
Pitch-Black Wraith
Brimir Excion
Helian Chief Experimenter
If a mount or rider looks off — sitting too high, too low, or off-center — just report which Pioh and we'll fix it.
Supporter Package Auras
Diamond supporters can now also wear the Platinum aura.
Diamond package — unlocks both the Diamond aura and the Platinum aura
Pick either one from the aura dropdown in Character Details
Your Diamond aura stays the default until you choose a different one
Titles are unchanged. The Diamond package still awards the Adamant Sovereign title only. The new aura shows in your list the next time you log in.
