“Two-Region Servers: Singapore & Canada”
Ether Online — Patch Notes
Two-Region Servers: Singapore and Canada
Ether Online now runs on two servers in one shared world, Singapore (SG) and Canada (CA). Players on both servers can see and play with each other.
Channel selection at login: after choosing your character, pick the channel you want to enter
Location and ping: every channel shows whether it is [SG] or [CA] and your ping to it
Best ping button: enters your lowest-ping channel that isn’t full
Channel list: the minimap channel list also shows location and ping
Channel numbers: SG channels start at 1, CA channels start at 11
Territorial War and Capture the Flag: run on one server for everyone. Joining or watching from the other server moves you to the right channel automatically
Watch buttons: Watch War (Guild window) and Watch on the CTF row (PvP lobby) now move you to the hosting server first
Smoother play at high ping: melee hits, movement and attack speed are more forgiving for players far from the server
Reconnecting: if you disconnect, you rejoin the server you were playing on
If you are in a party, you join your party’s channel. While in a party, you can’t move to another server for an event unless your party leader moves first.
Background Music Fixes
Music now starts reliably when entering towns, fields and dungeons, including after moving between maps
If music fails to load, the game retries on its own instead of staying silent until you change maps
Map music now resumes properly after a cutscene ends
Fixed a rare case where a sound effect could loop in place of the map music
If a map still has no music, report which map and roughly when it happened so we can check it.
Display Fixes
Fixed long spikes or stretched shapes sometimes appearing across the screen between characters
Server Fixes
Fixed a server crash that could happen when a party leader handed leadership to another member after someone in the party had returned to character select
This is a client update. Relaunch through the launcher to get the latest version.
