Enhancement Without Tears
Push your gear higher while minimizing the heartbreak of failure.
Enhancement Without Tears
High-level enhancement is a gamble, and past a certain point, one bad roll can undo hours of progress. Manage the risk with these tips.
Use protection stones past +7. Once you're pushing beyond +7, failure usually starts costing you more than just gold or materials. It can knock your gear down a level or destroy it outright. Protection stones exist for exactly this situation, and skipping them to save a little on cost is rarely worth what you stand to lose.
Stockpile materials during events. Enhancement materials are almost always cheaper or more plentiful during events, so that's the time to buy in bulk rather than scrambling for them later at full price. Having a stockpile ready means you can enhance when you're mentally ready for it, not just when you happen to have the materials on hand.
Never enhance on tilt. Enhancement decisions made in frustration, right after a failed roll, tend to be the worst ones. Chasing a loss by immediately trying again is how stockpiles disappear fast. If a roll doesn't go your way, it's usually better to step back and come back to it later with a clear head.
